For the Troop to vote on Order of the Arrow we need the majority of the Troop to participate, so please make every effort for your Scout to attend.

Scouting America has determined that all adults need updated Youth Protection Training by May 31st.  Any adults that have NOT completed the updated training will not be able to attend Scout events until the training is completed.  

Just a reminder that for all people age 16+ that plan on doing any Fishing at our Family Fishing Day on May 16th need to have a valid Iowa Fishing License.

There are lots of May events so please double check the Troop Calendar for specifics

May 6th - New Parent Meeting
May 16th - Troop Family Fishing Fun Day - Pond near Prairie Ridge Swimming Pool
May 17th - Court of Honor

There will be a Troop New Parent Meeting on May 6th at Wig & Pen at 7 pm. The meeting is for Parents and Scouts, so bring your questions and we will see you there!

At the recent PLC our Scouts were making plans for Awards and Merit Badges that they wanted to work on in the coming months. One of the Awards that was discussed was the Interpreter Strip. Many of our Scouts have taken several years of foreign language. Have them look over the requirements of the Award and see if this is something that they can accomplish.
